Packing And Inventory
The process starts with a FREE at-home consultation followed by an estimate sent to you to preview. If accepted we will schedule a start date. We suggest starting this process a couple of months before the move date to help ease the stress of moving.
If you already have packing materials, great! We will use what you have. If not, we will bring all of the necessary packing materials with us! We start with the items that are not used daily, leaving frequently used items accessible and readily available up until the day of the move.
All boxes are color-coded to ensure the movers know exactly where to put each box inside your new home.
Sorting And Organizing
Sorting through years of items and memories can be very stressful and emotional, especially when you are doing it alone.
We will gently guide you through the process to help you separate the items you no longer want or need, and those you want to keep or pass down. This saves time and money when move day arrives.
Unpacking And Settling In
Once the movers get everything loaded into the truck, your move manager will meet them at the new house and make sure everything goes where it’s supposed to. While the movers are unloading, our staff will immediately start the unpacking process. We can unpack a few things, or unpack everything, completely up to you!
Depending on the scope of the work we’ve agreed upon, we can also assemble and make the bed(s), get all of the rooms put together and organized, connect computers and TV’s (streaming devices), hang wall art, and most other little things that makes your new place a home so it is ready when you walk through the door!
Estate Sales: If you are considering an estate sale to help downsize, we would be happy to suggest and hire a full-time Estate Sale professional for you! We have a couple we like to use, but if you have one you would like to use, that is completely fine! We will communicate with you clearly every step of the way to ensure there is no questions or concerns.
Online Auctions: Some items can be sold for more money online when people are bidding for them. If it is just a few items, we can list your items and manage the sale, shipping, and collecting payment. We take a small commission for this service.
Dispersal Of Items
Donating Items: If you have a charity or thrift shop you support, we are more than happy to drop off your items for you! If you don’t have anywhere specific in mind, no problem, we can take them to one of our favorite locations!
Trash Removal: Whether it’s a small amount or a trash bin is needed, we can coordinate a trash removal service for you!
